These terms apply to your use of Dawn (dawn.faith), including reading our writing, subscribing to our newsletter, commenting on posts and sending us submissions. By using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

The prose, poetry, devotionals and other content published on Dawn belong to Dawn or to the authors who wrote them. You are welcome to read, share links to, and quote short passages from our posts with credit and a link back to the original. Please do not republish whole pieces, or use them commercially, without our written permission.

Scripture quotations remain subject to the terms of the translations they come from.

If you subscribe, we will email you new posts and occasional updates from Dawn. You confirm your subscription through a link sent to your email, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email. How we handle your email address is described in our Privacy Policy.

To comment you sign in with a one-time link sent to your email. You are responsible for what you post under your account. Your name and comments are shown publicly.

We want the comments to be a place of honest, gracious conversation. Please do not post anything that is:

• abusive, hateful, harassing or threatening toward anyone;
• spam, advertising or unsolicited promotion;
• unlawful, or that infringes someone else's rights;
• someone else's personal information shared without their consent.

We may edit, hide or remove comments, and suspend accounts, at our discretion.

When you send us a piece for publication, you confirm that it is your own original work. You keep ownership of it. If we publish it, you give Dawn permission to publish, display and share it on the site, in our newsletter and on our social channels, under your name. We may work with you on edits before publishing, and we will not change the substance of your piece without your agreement.

Dawn may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

Dawn is offered freely and as is. Our writing reflects personal faith and reflection and is not professional, medical, legal or counselling advice. We do our best to keep the site available and accurate, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free, and to the extent the law allows we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of it.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
